Friday Tune – Can’t Feel My Face

The Weeknd at the Juno Awards in Canada this year

Today’s tune is ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ with the Weekend. It’s not newbie, but it’s so cool and it always makes me feel like partying.

I think it’s cool that Abel Tesfaye want to be my Michael Jackson – always aim high! I just red this cool interview with him in Rollingstone here.

Interior Beauties

There’s so many beautiful things I want to buy for our home. Quite a few things are more expensive – but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming! And pieces for your home will often last longer than expensive pieces for your wardrobe!

I’m in love with this wall art piece from Curtis Jare. I’m sure that I would have it and treasure it for the rest my life. It’s so delicate.

The hanger is so cool – it has the right vintage vibe. But unfortunately I don’t know who has made it. I’ve seen it in an interior decoration reportage from the home of Elle Denmark Cheifeditor Cecilie Ingdal Christiansen. It would be perfect in our old house – maybe in our bedroom.

I’ve got a big crush on the Beatle Chair from Gubi. I think this powder rose color is very hot right now it’s so beautiful. It could be cool just to have one is this color to ad just a hint of color in our livingroom or the office. But I’m not sure if my husband would agree to this color.

The Beatle Chair is very comfortable to sit on – I sat in one all evening the other day. So it could also be a good option for a set of new dining room chairs. But then I would probably pick a more neutral color. It also comes in a beautiful drak grey wool or in brown velvet.

I like these mirror and iron coffee tables – and you won’t find to identical ones as the top surfaces are all different. It’s a plus that they’re quite affordable. They also come in a square version and as a console table.

The Snoopy Lampe designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglione in 1967 has been on my interior wish list for a long time. I don’t think it gives very much light, but for me it’s also a bit like a sculpture. Do I have to tell you that I was into Snoopy when I was a kid?

The mirrors by Reflections by Hugau & Larsson are all just so beautiful. They have an art deco vibe that I really like. I would be a cool decoration item in our livingroom.

The Navy Vest

I think a suited vest is a very good alternative to a blazer.

I’ve already got several black vestes, so now I would like a navy one. I’ve got my eye on this classic navy one from Helmut Lang.

I wear it like I would wear a blazer, but the ekstra benefit is that you can also easily wear it in warmer weather eg. over a dress and look more suited up. Compared to wearing a blazer it’s more obvious when you change the top underneath and you can play with that in your looks.

I like to mix the more high end brands with the cheaper highstreet ones. The cropped jeans from Weekday, a top from &Other Stories, Asos western belt- and bandana is all quite inexpensive selections from highstreet brands.

I love the green color of this Marni Trunk Bag – I would call the color for French Green. It reminds me of the color of vintage painted French  furnitures.

These shoes from Aquazzura are beautiful and they would last several seasons in my wardrobe. I would wear them with cropped jeans to show of the shoes.

I like chain earrings and I’m on the look for a minimal pair, that I can wear with other earrings. These gold ones from Melissa Joy Manning are quite nice.

I think the western belt and the bandana ad a bit of edge to this outfit. I would wear it to work and for dinner with my girlfriends tonight.

Surfer Girl

I wanna go surfing!

These images are so cool. They make me long even more for summer – and they also make me wanna go surfing like this cool surfer girl!

I’ll have to hurry up and go to & Other Stories store to look for a bikini, a swimsuit and everything that goes with it. Some of the items are already sold out.

I like the mesh t-shirt, the leather backpack, the oversized shirt and the tube skirt. It’s perfect as beach wear with an edge.

The model looks sporty & fit and very gorgeous with the messy surfer hair.

Those Camel Pants

I want a pair of camel flared leather pants. These cool ones from Gestuz could be the ones. Though a suede pair could also be an alternative option.

This is how I would wear them for work with my new oversized vintage Isabel Marant grey checked blazer. I just found it this weekend – it has the perfect oversized fit. It looks so cool with rolled-up sleeves, so you can see the white-striped linings.

It’s a classic look with a few pieces, that are ‘in now’ like the loafers, the extra long blouse sleeves and only one statement earring.

This cool earring from Maria Black Jewelry is on top of my wish list for my birthday next month. It comes in two sizes and both in gold, rose gold and silver.

I think the scarf is understated cool with the ombre tie-dye effect. It’s a bit pricy as it’s from Rick Owens. It’s made in a linen and silk blend, so I’m sure it’ll be very nice to wear.

Interior Shopping

I’m dreaming of more new interior decoration items for our home.

The key materials are: crystal, leather, velvet, wool and washed linen. I tend to go for these colors: grey, white, brown and black.

I like cool design like the Adnet mirror from Gubi and the Werner Panton Wire Lamp. I love old things or things that have the vintage vibe like the Mini Vintage lampe from Design By Us and the cool crystal candlesticks from Reflections by Hugau Larsson.

I would love to get the beautiful grey jewelry box from Rue Verte. I only have smaller jewelry boxes and it’ll look so nice in our bedroom.

Aésop is a favorite – I love the old styled brown glasses. It’s a every day luxury to have nice hand wash and hand balm at the bathrooms. Another every day luxury is crisp white bedding – always white it gives that hotel feeling. I prefer washed linen or cotton.

Sunday Mood

Superstar and fringes

It’s a Superstar Kind of Sunday.

I love my sneakers white and crisp and I would love to wear these fringed black jeans today.

It’s been both sunny and snowing today in Copenhagen –  like in the Prince song: “Sometimes it snows in April…”.

We’ve had friends over for a lovely homemade brunch. It’s so nice when you have the whole day to sit and talk, eat and drink good coffee. Life is good!

I love these rooms. It’s cool how they were able to make open space between the rooms and still maintaining the definition of the rooms. I love the modern mix with the blue velvet sofa, the Tom Dixon coffee tables together with the vintage marble table. The old french style vitrine cabinet in the dining room, the classic french dining chairs and the glass pendels by Design by Us.

I would love to sleep here in Geismars linen bedding. The cool Restart Milano brass lampe is on my wish list.

I think this grey kitchen is so cool. We’ve got a similar kitchen with black countertops, brass cupboard handles and Bestlite lamps from Gubi – our kitchen is just white and the stove black. But this image makes me consider to paint the kitchen grey.

Cool minimalistic Batroom – I love the big caracole grey tiles.
